When Katie Skinner of Kiss Me Kate Photography set out to prove to herself that she could bring to life and capture an idea she held so dearly and that only existed in her mind’s eye, she certainly did just that. "In my heart I wanted to prove to myself that I could do exactly what I was visualizing, that I was good enough to pull right from my imagination and capture it in real life," she says. "I put myself to the test and, to say the least, I think I passed." Her ultimate vision for this shoot was to create a dreamy, boho bride that would leave people swooning. (Well, we say, check, check and check!)
Caitlin met Eric six years ago working for a local grocery store. Eric was her manager in the bakery and, although they had feelings for each other, it took three long years before this came to light. Lucky for Eric, he decided to get in touch with Caitlin. “We both had a huge crush on each other but were too professional to let one another know," Caitlyn says. “He transferred stores and I moved to Florida. Out of the blue one day three years later, he messaged me on Facebook after seeing I was coming home to Indiana to spend the holidays with my family. He asked if we could hang out and that was it!”

If you have ever visited Michigan, you might realize that after just one trip, it's gorgeous settings often call you back for more. Inspired by this very beauty, Carrie of Carrie House Photography aimed at capturing a vineyard wedding to highlight the wonders of Northern Michigan. She believes this area is quickly becoming a trending locale as more and more couples turn to Michigan for their destination weddings.
It’s all in the details, as they say. And for this style shoot, the copper accents and chic details speak beautifully. Lauren of Lauren Elisabeth Events and Jodi Bodtke of Giving Tree Photography teamed up to create this “Chic and Fresh Copper Shoot”. Lauren explains, “We wanted a very earthy and chic feel for our styled shoot with a lot of blues and greenery. We wanted to incorporate copper touches and fell in love with the idea of spray painting real fruit for our centerpiece, place cards, table numbers, and to include in the bouquet and on the cake.”
Brian had one special proposal in mind for Shannon, a woman that first caught his eye and later his heart after meeting her at 5th Avenue in Royal Oak, Michigan. His 31st birthday was approaching but he shrugged it off as if he didn’t want anything special.
