Hi there, loves! We can't believe this is the last Instagram Fave Friday in April! Time flies when you're having fun! We would like to share some of that fun with all of you (a.k.a our squad) by sharing these adorable Instagram photos from the week.
It’s no secret that the vintage charm of barn weddings continues to be popular, luring many brides through their rustic barn doors–especially here in the Midwest! While we knew we wanted to use this sought-after venue, we also desired to design a fresh, new take on the typical barn wedding by taking advantage of the current boho trend. After joining forces with Krissy Campbell of Simply Be So Events, a Northern Indiana based wedding and event planning business, it was clear that a bright, bohemian cover shoot, coupled with a woodland feel and a touch of vintage would give us the very (beautiful) edge we so envisioned!
It was early morning business flights at the Columbus, Ohio airport that allowed Carlson and Brad’s paths to cross. But it was an unlikely path they won’t forget. Lucky for Brad, he was meeting their mutual friend for coffee and, lucky for Carlson, she had a flight with the same friend and had made time to wash her hair! “I knew I liked him from day one because he commented on my stylish Frye boots,” she says. “I have a unique sense of style, so it has always been important to me to find someone who enjoys my individuality.”
Betsy and Ryan Wilkinson met on OkCupid.com©. After chatting for a month, the two decided to meet in person, and it was evident at first sight that they shared something very special. The couple frequently took walks on Notre Dame’s campus, but what started as a typical scenic walk, ended with the surprise of Betsy’s life. As they made their way from the Grotto to the lake one memorable summer evening, Ryan proposed! While they had dated only six months, they planned on an engagement of a little over a year–enough time to plan the wedding of their dreams!
Can you imagine? A young couple jumps town in a small plane to wed each other secretly. The woman glows at the thought of jetting off to marry the man of her dreams. The breeze rustles across the tarmac (and the groom’s great 1960’s-esque hair) as they walk hand in hand, warmed by the setting sun and silhouetted by their gorgeous getaway plane. Sounds quite perfect, if you ask us! For Jillian Keller of Frame Worthy Events, this is the story she envisioned and brought to life.
What’s better than lush botanical foliage, gorgeous greenery and airy, outdoor views for your big day? Well, some lovely, natural surroundings sound pretty PERFECT, if you ask us! While we dream of all the upcoming spring and summer weddings taking place in the Midwest this year, we thought it was a great time to introduce you to one of our favorite venues—Fernwood Botanical Gardens & Nature Preserve—an alluring outdoor garden venue located in Niles, Michigan.
It’s pretty hard for tablescapes to go unnoticed these days. In fact, they are one of the first wow factors at your wedding and display a bulk of the decor that you so painstakingly chose, down to the very last, gorgeous detail!
Does anyone else remember MySpace? If you were an avid user of the site, then you are like Cat and Miles who met on the website back in 2007! Little did they know that this chance meeting online would lead to an amazing love story.
When Shillawna Ruffner, of Shillawna Ruffner Photography, recently moved to Evansville, Indiana from Southern California, she knew that a style shoot would be the perfect way to get to know and work with some great local talent in her new home. One such vendor was JoElle of JoElle Elise Designs.
