the VISION
It all started with an image we saw of a dinner party in an alley...and the vision was born. It was a dream come true to put together this Kate Spade-inspired spring, urban alley-styled shoot. Every detail, from the sassy signage to the gold snail accents, were perfectly in sync to showcase our vision—even in the typical Indiana spring rain shower. The unique backdrop allowed us to play with the elements to create a unique AND FUN look.
the paper
The stunning paperie from Whim & Proper Design Studio showcased large, painted flowers and thin, bold stripes, all accented with painted textures and a gorgeous hand-scripted calligraphy.
the dresses
Our bride was stunning in her Jenny Yoo Hathaway gown and Debra Moreland accessories from M.H. Pomander’s, paired with a tuxedo from the groom’s own closet. The couple transitioned beautifully into our after-party look, featuring a Joanna August Holly dress from Bella Bridesmaids in kelly green.
the glam
The timeless and chic hair and makeup looks from JW Salon (hair) and Beauty by Crystal (makeup) were the perfect touch to our overall look.
The glittered wrapping paper, black-and-white-striped dance floor and unique confetti bar completed the rainy day shoot that was flawless in every way.
the florals & Table dÉcor
Sweet Pea Floral Design dreamed up the loveliest centerpieces, which were made up of fuchsia and tangerine roses, lisianthus, Sweet William, and hypericum berry. The tablescape was accented with champagne mercury julep cups filled to the top with gorgeous viburnum. The confetti bar for the after-party set was the perfect juxtaposition against the simplicity of the alley setting.
the dessert
The Topping completed the look with a black-and-white-striped cake topped with layers of golden sequins.
