They have been in the business since the 1940s and, with that much experience, they can provide florals for every type of wedding. Tell use more about your floral shop:

"According to local Elkhart historian, Paul Thomas, there has been a floral shop at the corner of Main and Marion since the early 1930s. First, it was called Pickrell's Flowers. Then, in the mid 1940s, Vera and Richard Matzke purchased the store and renamed it Richard B. Matzke Florist. They operated the store until 1985 when Linda and Stan Rupnow and and their three daughters purchased the store and chose to keep just Matzke Florist. The store remains a family business, and as Stan and Linda look forward to retirement, their daughter, Jenifer, is manager of the store and looks forward to owning and operating the store when they completely retire."
 

What makes you a great resource for brides?

"Our staff works to convey a bride's full vision of her wedding day. We do not charge a consultation fee. We encourage a bride to bring her ideas and pictures so we can bring them to life for her in her wedding colors with her chosen venue. We have an extensive amount of containers and vases that are borrowed by our brides to keep things within her budget."
 

DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING ELSE EXCITING OR NOTEWORTHY THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHARE?

"We have just again been voted "Best Florist of Elkhart County 2017," as we also were in 2016. We work very closely with all of the wedding photographers for each of our brides and use their photos and give them the credit for our advertising in local wedding magazines. We are just branching into social media and hope to release more photos of our work soon."
