When Cynthia of Cynthia Boyle Photography struck up the idea to do a style shoot—she knew a few things that she wanted to accomplish. She says, “I knew I wanted the shoot to reflect three words: vintage, romantic, and European-French charm. When I came across Stonegate Manor, I knew I absolutely had to shoot there. The venue is the perfect mixture of vintage, romantic, and is just overall the ideal place to have a wedding.”
Using a simple color palette of dusty blues, light greens and blush pinks, the team brought out a soft, ethereal atmosphere. This can be seen in details like the colored glassware and linens from Celery City Trading Company. Blushing Design created florals using these same romantic colors and combined them with elements like thistle to bring in additional texture.
When it came to dressing the bride, that team knew they wanted a look that would be timelessly chic. They selected a 2019 Nicole Milano from BIANKA Bridal. Cynthia says, “It is so romantic, but also classy and elegant which incorporated the Euro-French part of the theme.” About Face of Grand Rapids paired this dress with a natural and classic makeup look using blush tones.
One smaller detail that tied the shoot together was the stationery suite designed by Melissa Woodruff. Cynthia says, “I knew that she was creative enough herself to give me what I was looking for while also having her own vision. She created a simple black and white hand-lettered invitation, and I absolutely love how classy it was!” It truly pulled together the entire mood of the shoot with its classical, elegant feel.
