See how vintage style meets modern vibes at Indiana Landmarks.

Indiana Landmarks is a spacious, historic venue located in Indianapolis that combines iconic style with alluring amenities. This nonprofit organization restores historic buildings to create unique spaces where families and friends can gather to celebrate. Sari Swinehart, Indiana Landmarks' Special Events Coordinator says, “Indiana Landmarks Center and the Morris-Butler House will take your breath away with the classic and refined character of their historic architectural styles.” This WeddingDay Exclusive Style Shoot focuses on the notable features of this venue, inspiring a shoot that represents timeless romance.

Amber Lamkin of Blush and Blossom Events carefully planned every detail of this shoot for a unique look. Indiana Landmarks hosts several spaces from their main campus to smaller venues like the Morris-Butler House, Huddleston Farmhouse and Veraestau—all with their own impressive features. Sari says, “The Morris-Butler House, on the grounds of the Indiana Landmarks Center, is the perfect venue for those needing an intimate space for smaller events such as rehearsal dinners, bridal showers and small weddings in a historic setting.”

To show off this historic venue, the team used a neutral palette that complemented the space. Amber says, “We used blush, mauve and ivory throughout the florals, linens and paper goods.” This included blush tones seen in the linens provided by A Classic Party Rental and vintage furniture pieces from Violet Vintage. Matched with this were soft, delicate florals from Knox Flowers that used amnesia, quicksand roses, nigella pods and scabiosa for texture. The subtle look came through in all these elements, perfectly captured by Kaylee Creighton Photography.

To go along with this vision, Beloved Brides provided a chic dress fitted with a cape. Amber says, “We thought it would look gorgeous next to all of the antique, vintage furniture rentals and the Victorian décor of the house.” The vintage inspiration also came through in the hair and makeup done by Leanna’s Private Studio. She created a look that tied in the neutral tones with a bit of edge to represent the eye-catching vintage aesthetics of Indiana Landmarks. To match the stately look of the bride, the groom sported a classic tuxedo from Generations Tux. And the bride and groom had to drive away in style! Antique Limousine of Indianapolis outfitted the shoot with an elegant 1953 Rolls Royce.

Two elements that really brought this shoot together were the stationery and desserts. Interprintations designed a stationery suite that truly brought forth the palette of the shoot with mauve and blush tones. Gallery Pastry Shop and Market District added to the theme with their delicious desserts for an elegant touch.
