Decor & Flowers
Has searching for the right flowers for your wedding been a bit overwhelming? Have no fear bride-to-be! Let Design Group assist you with four easy steps to make bloom shopping as effortless as shoe shopping.
1. Work With, Not Against, Your Venue
You picked a beautiful venue, do not make the flowers fight with it. You want your venue and your flowers to be friends, so make sure they have the same personality. If you choose a modern venue, try to find a clean design so it will flow seamlessly. Also, play on the colors of the venue's decor and choose flowers that will compliment it, not clash.
2. Have a Theme and Try Not to Stray
Whether you are a country girl or prefer downtown glam, there are flowers to match. Although a large trend is mixing themes, you do not want to stray too far. For instance, you would not wear cowboy boots to a gala and you would not wear stilettos to the farm, the same is true with flowers. In your consult, tell your florist your theme and they will find you a flower to match.
3. You and Your Dress are the Star
You do not want your bouquet to over power you and your gorgeous dress. When you are walking down the aisle, you should be the star, the bouquet is just an accessory. To avoid being out shined by your bouquet, choose colors that flow with the other decor and have it be a size that is appropriate to your body type.
4. It is YOUR Day
The most common concern I have had with brides choosing their décor is them asking, “Will everyone else like it?” Of course, you want your guests to like it, but it is YOUR day. Your wedding represents you and your fiancé to the fullest, so choose flowers and decor that has meaning to you and reflects your personal style. Try not to worry what others will think and have confidence in your decisions.
