When it comes to the industrial theme, there are a lot of ways to make it your own. That is why we are loving this shoot by Chloe Horvath Photography. From the greenery to the warm color scheme—there are endless reasons to adore it. Chloe says, “I fell in love with the Mill Event Center while it was getting renovated. The brick is what really drew me to it. I love historic buildings and homes and they did a great job of playing off of that. This was my first styled shoot, so I wanted it to reflect who I was as a person and my business!”
The style of the shoot was inspired by the venue’s brick walls. “The brick was really the center of the shoot and everything else was based off that,” says Chloe. “I’m a really simple and laid back person and I run my business the same way. So I wanted the shoot to be simple, but elegant.”
“Colleen from Taylor Rental was great and really helped me with my vision,” adds Chloe. “They donated the birch arch, the gray linens, the chairs, plates, gold chargers, lanterns and cups. I wanted gold chargers to bring back in some colors from the brick without making it red and the lanterns went great with the arch and style of the shoot.” It was those few pieces that truly created a difference in the shoot. Their subtle designs and shapes added an organic vibe that is unmistakably romantic.
To keep in line with the elegant look, Chloe picked a dress that was timeless. She adds, “I love lace, so I wanted a lace dress. But I didn’t want it to be overpowering. Lisa had designed a stunning dress that had the right amount of lace without being too much. The dress was simple – a lace-up top with a bunch of tulle on the bottom. It was perfect!”
“The cake was one of my favorite parts about this shoot,” says Chloe. “I wanted a naked cake with greenery and Macy did great! I really loved the swirl on the top and it tasted amazing too!” The simple cake topped with greenery gave the shoot a modern edge that was perfect for the theme.
