What sets you apart from others? Why should a bride choose you?
"I think my overall attitude towards giving a personal guarantee and making sure the bride and groom are both confident in their choice of me as a baker for their wedding. I take all of the stress of coordinating anything to do with the cake off of their shoulders. I order the flowers, help them with the creative process to find the specific design they would like, coordinate delivery with the day of person, and basically just make it the simplest process that I can. After all, that's what they are paying for. So they don't have to worry about the cake or delivery or what it will turn out like. I think the confidence level and my years of producing top-level products help ensure my customers' ease and satisfaction."
Do you have anything exciting that you would like to share?
"As the chef and owner, I have attended culinary school in Charlotte, North Carolina. I studied Culinary Arts and Baking and Pastry Arts under one of the Top Ten Pastry Chefs in the US.
I also worked in a four-diamond restaurant in Charlotte under Chefs that served on the Olympic Culinary Team. I was Captain of the Central Piedmont Culinary Competition Team for two years and have received two silver medals from the American Culinary Federation for outstanding excellence in a competition setting."
What inspires you to be in the wedding industry?
"I truly want to see couples happy. I want to see their faces light up when they have the wedding cake of their dreams. It makes me so happy to bring a bride or groom to tears because their cake is so nice that it is overwhelming for them. I enjoy the happiness that surrounds weddings even though they can tend to be stressful. At the end of the day, they are together forever and happily married with their bellies full of cake."
What do you love most about working with couples?
"I love being myself and having my personality shine with couples so they see me as a professional but also a humble, down-to-earth person. I try to make the process seem effortless and ease their minds because we all know planning a wedding can be intense."
