The Vision
This elegant shoot started with humble beginnings: a palette of wood, a few touches of gold and the Pantone Color of the Year, Classic Blue. Angela Schultz, owner of Holland wedding planning company Flower Girl Events, and her team of Grand Rapids vendors created a whimsical woodland celebration that will be your newest obsession. “I wanted to create a look that was a little different from the norm we see right now,” Angela says. The touches of classic elegance beautifully tied in traditional wedding elements while keeping the vibe light and fun. Grand Rapids photographer Chrystin Melanie Photography snapped the perfect shots to spark your inspiration!
The Venue
As a remodeled mansion, Grand Rapids venue Venue3Two was the perfect setting for this classical shoot. The bridal suite provided plenty of natural light for gorgeous candid images. The outdoor patio and courtyard was the perfect space for the ceremony, leaving the reception with lots of space in the open-concept dining room.
The Look
The sophistication of this bride is next level! Wyoming Michigan bridal salon Connie’s Bridal Boutique provided a stunning traditional gown with simple lines for an overall clean and classic silhouette. The modern style of the bride’s makeup, styled by Beauty by Ashleigh, accented her natural beauty while her hair was left down for an easy, elegant look. Angela adds, “I wanted to have the model’s hair down since we've seen so many updos lately.” The groom’s sharp and sleek attire, provided by The Groomsman Suit, polishes off this pair’s refined look!
The Florals
The florals were white and whimsical, cultivating the perfect elegant atmosphere. Grand Rapids florist Wildflower Event Studio crafted a gorgeous bouquet of trailing greens that looked like they were picked straight from the garden. “I really wanted to have the floral look like it was growing in places and had been there for awhile,” Angela explains.
The DÉcor
The panels used as a ceremony backdrop gave this classic shoot a modern garden vibe, and were reused as reception décor. The gold accents, provided by Grand Rapids rental company Eden Woods Wedding Rentals, brought a traditional look to the tablescapes: golden flatware, chiavari chairs, candle holders and plates. Alpine Events provided Classic Blue napkins to tie together the color scheme!
