Magic, mystery and a twist of romance define this submission to our 2020 Style Shoot Design Contest. Taking a different perspective on the Out of This World theme, Erin of HannahSola LLC wanted to showcase a couple falling in love amidst a dreamy indoor garden. “I wanted to bring a new magic to weddings,” Erin says. “I wanted to create an intimate setting for the couple with the phoenix inspiration.”
This team created an overgrown woodland wonderland out of the back corner of this reception hall. According to Erin, they loved the challenge!
Soft details of Classic Blue show up in this shoot. You can catch the 2020 Pantone Color of the Year in the invitations, the bride’s nails and her shoes.
Erin wanted to stay away from any trends, so she picked a dress that “wasn’t getting the love it deserved.” The beading details on this mermaid style gown elevates this otherworldly shoot’s look into something stunningly regal. The bride’s flowing half-updo is perfectly topped with a gorgeous glittering crown. And we love a moody plum lip!
This cake makes a statement! Bold and unconventional, Erin herself designed this dessert to match the theme. “I wanted a cascade of grapes, dark red, maroon and plum flowers from top to bottom,” she notes.
Wooden flowers, crafted by Erin, decorate nearly every surface of this shoot. She explains, “I wanted everything to look like it was really growing in that area, so many layers of moss and greenery were used to achieve that look.” We’re swooning over that gorgeous floral arch!
