This refreshing pop of color is exactly what we needed in this submission to our 2019 Style Shoot Design Contest! Sherry Lusardi, owner of Whattapuddle Farms, wanted to recreate the laid-back style of a farm on the Italian countryside. Pairing up with Desiree Pace, owner of Flowers by Des, the team transformed this barn into a European getaway fit for any wedding!

Dubbing the style, “Mediterranean Farm,” the team worked through 90-degree heat to get this shoot picture perfect. Sherry wanted the shoot to happen on her own venue because she thought it fit well into the theme the team was going for. She explains, “Whattapuddle Farms is this little hidden gem that sits out in the rural countryside.” Where better to have a countryside shoot than in the actual countryside?

Lemon luxury is absolutely oozing from this color palette. The team made use of authentic Italian pieces, shipped straight from Italy, to carry the concept of citrus throughout the shoot. Added rentals of tables, chairs, china, flatware, linens, open frame tent with draping and chandeliers weaved together an elegant European atmosphere.

We’re ready to dig into that delicious lemon-flavored cake with cupcakes showcasing hand-rolled lemons!

This team is wanted to bring back vintage style with a modern flair. Sherry says, “What is old is new again, right? We used a classic upholstery set up with the trendy, open frame tent, and juxtaposed classic Italian pottery with modern white China and gold flatware. We are always looking for a new perspective on a timeless tradition.”

These lovely florals give off an authentic Italian tone to make this shoot timeless. The pops of peach and Living Coral, the Pantone Color of the Year, add a refreshing contrast to the dark and elegant greens used. Sherry notes, “Potted fresh herbs were sprinkled throughout the table and lemons were incorporated every chance we could get—once again creating the organic option of herbs, fruit and flowers. Desiree knew right away what I was looking for and was able to capture this on an eye-catching table. We just wanted to sit at it all day and be surrounded by the beauty!”

This team used three unique dresses for the shoot, but the one that got us buzzing was that stunning vintage yellow dress. Sherry gushes, “This dress pulled in everything from color, tone and style. The lace of the dress and style made the whole shoot feel that we were in the beautiful Mediterranean area.”
