This stunning submission to our 2019 Style Shoot Design Contest is absolutely blooming with color! Manal, a designer form Brides & Tailor, was searching through mood boards on Pinterest. She fell in love with the way pink and Living Coral, the Pantone Color of the Year, could be used together. Partnering up with Stephanie from Love in Bloom, the idea blossomed into this floral shoot. Manal says, “In my heart, I was picturing a colorful shoot that added a touch of summer to the harsh weather we had in Michigan this year!” Dubbing the style “Michigan’s Coral/Pink Shoot,” the team created a lovely atmosphere that we can’t wait to show you!

We love how this shoot has a lot of hand-touched pieces in it. One of the more stunning aspects is the dress! It was custom made by Brides & Tailor specifically for this styled shoot, and those pearls were hand sewn! Manal notes, “We chose this one because of its elegance and bling. Lace is so in, and off-shoulder bridal gowns are also a big hit. This look presented a modern bride with a vision of a colorful wedding instead of the classy, traditional look. All surrounding elements were carefully curated to match this overall vision!”

This team was fearless in the face of bad weather—including a tornado! Manal explains that during the day of the shoot, there was a tornado warning in many areas in Michigan. “The wind and rain actually blew so hard that some candleholders got broken,” she adds. “Luckily, all the vendors remained optimistic and we somehow managed to pull up our courage to move on!” Now that’s optimistic teamwork!

The tone of the bride’s makeup uses a soft and earthy palette. Her up-do with a lovely lift in the front adds a classic theme to the shoot. The headpiece glitters in perfect harmony with her dress, providing a touch of sophistication while staying simplistic enough to not steal the show!

The Fox Hills Golf Club and Banquet Center was an alluring venue because of its prestige plus outdoor and indoor options. “This venue has gorgeous scenery by the bridge and in the middle of the Golf Club for outdoor shootings,” Manal says. “We initially wanted a place with a lot of greenery to contrast beautifully with the coral and pink colors. Despite the fact that we couldn’t use many of the outdoor facilities due to the harsh weather, the indoor area at Golden Gate (an indoor space) served as a classy venue to highlight the elegance of the gown and all elements!”

Another little detail done by hand was the addition of flowers on the cake. Manal gushes that the floral touch gives the cake a simple, yet elegant look that brides everywhere are sure to love!
