This Alternative Detroit Style Shoot Showcases an Anatomical Heart

When Chettara of Chettara T. Photography saw an anatomically correct vase of a heart, the idea for this shoot was born. “I wanted a literal interpretation of giving your heart to someone, without all of the gore, of course,” she explains. “I wanted it to be minimalistic while focusing on the couple and anatomical heart details.”

The bride’s dress is classic, bold and minimalistic: three style accents the team wanted to emphasize. Paired with the model’s makeup, this sultry look is full of bold romance! We love how the color of this elegant gown perfectly complements the unique stitching on the groom’s tie.

The team wanted a blank slate for their venue that they could shape to the shoot, so they used a private location. The color scheme of deep reds and blacks perfectly creates a bold, alternative style. “Red and black is a classic pairing and the first combination when you think of the heart,” Chettara adds. The bouquet even reflects the shape of a human heart! We love this deliberate attention to detail.
