COVER STYLE: HAIR

In creating Molly's hair design I used a new cone shaped styling tool. This hot tool produces a very different wavy curl unlike the tradition tendril curl that you get when using a round barrel shaped iron. The other big difference is that the hair is wrapped from the base to the ends of the hair verses from the ends to the scalp.

I like using Pureology's In Charge hair spray throughout the design procedure. Make sure that you are always using a heat protective product like Redken's Iron Silk.

Take small strands of hair, wrap hair base to ends, pin curl the strand into place at the base of the scalp and let cool. Continue making and pinning your curls into place. This technique will produce long lasting beautiful wavy curls! Gently, remove pin, unwind the cooled, curled strand of hair, trying to keep each curl in place, let the curl fall loosely around the face and shoulders. I love Redken's Glass Smoothing Serum to help with frizz or fly a ways in addition to curl retainment. Piece some of the curly wave strands back and off to the right side of the face in a woven angled pattern to accentuate the intricate design. Smooth a soft swept bang off to the opposite side of the face and blend with the wavy curls.

A light spray of Pureology's Glossing Mist gives Molly's hair that beautiful lustrous healthy shine!

I love adding that little extra "wow effect" to the design by adding a beautiful piece(s) of hair ornamentation! Perhaps you have a sentimental piece of jewelry, an antique broach, pearls, that drop earring that has lost its partner. Go through your jewelry box and bring a few little things with you. Unique hair ornamentation photographs beautifully!

Obviously, to achieve the hair design that Molly is wearing the hair should be mid-length or longer. This look can be designed on shorter hair by implementing finger waves and pin curls its absolutely dreamy! This is a wonderful style for any special occasion event, prom or wedding.

For an everyday look, same curling and pinning techniques can be used, just gently unwind the individual strands and let the hair fall naturally. Need some lift? If you just can't master that teasing technique, forget it. Use Osis Dust It. Lift the hair. Sprinkle the magic Dust It powder at the base and boom! Instant volume! No matter how fine the hair is! We can't keep it on our shelves!

COVER STYLE: MAKE-UP

Molly is wearing Jane Iredale Cosmetics the skin care makeup.

I chose Honey Bronze foundation available in loose, pressed powder or a liquid mineral. Barely Rose blush was applied from the apple of the cheek into the temple. Assuring Molly of her long lasting makeup application I used a lid primer which was applied prior to eye shadow.
Dawn shadow was dusted over the entire eyelid with a little smudge of Emerald into the crease. Basic Black pencil liner was applied to the lash line above the eye and before applying Lengthening and Thickening Jet Black mascara. Auburn brow gel was applied to Molly's professionally shaped brow. Sugar & Butter lip exfoliator was used prior to mixing Gold Fling and Sugar Plum Pure Gloss for that sexy soft pout!

I believe this look is great for those with a fair skin tone, any warm hair color ranging from a strawberry blonde into the natural browns and of course auburn. If you have beautiful healthy radiant skin there is no need for a heavy makeup, thus the beautiful natural look that Molly portrays.

Wear with: This makeup is just a great for an every day natural look to wear with anything from a simple T-shirt and jeans to a wedding gown. Try an off-white, bold blue or brown top and stay away from orange and yellows.
