"Darren and Mandy were the best photography team ever! Quite seriously, we can't even begin to say enough good things about this team, from the detailed phone conversations we had regarding planning photo shoots for the big day (because I was based in Chicago) to a full site visit and walk-through before our wedding. The day of the wedding Mandy proved herself to be the equivalent of a full-fledged wedding planner. She had the bridal party on time, in the right place, while single-handedly repairing 3 bridesmaids' dresses that suffered from malfunctions. She thought of everything and had everything with her from band-aids to nail polish and hair ties. Darren and Mandy worked as a team to get us the best shots and corral all the wandering sheep (ahem, guests) into the best formations. We just saw our wedding photos and they are phenomenal! Do yourself a favor and stop your wedding photographer search right now because you won't ever beat their quality and professionalism."

Please tell us a little more about your business.
"Breen Wedding Photography is a husband and wife team based on the west side of Michigan in beautiful Grand Haven, Michigan. Darren is a trained photojournalist (aka “A Photo Ninja”) and lighting expert, while I am a people-watching expert who is prepared like Mary Poppins for every wedding. Together, we create a visual story of the emotions and moments of your wedding day, preserved for future generations in custom-made heirloom albums and meaningful wall art."
What sets you apart from others? Why should a bride choose you?
"We believe that nothing can bring back the feelings of a wedding like photographs showing moments as they really were. Our clients appreciate candid, documentary photography and are often camera-shy. They want beautiful images for their walls but prefer fewer orchestrated moments during the events of the day. Breen Wedding Photography clients are focused on making their wedding day fun for family and friends, and believe their special day is about the gathering of all the people they love in one place. Our clients are selfless, kind and friendly people who want to relive those natural emotions of the day through printed photographs."
Do you have anything exciting that you would like to share?
"We earned The Knot Best of Weddings Hall of Fame award earlier this year. We’re excited about the launch of our new website by the end of the year!"
What inspires you to be in the wedding industry?
"We are inspired to be in the wedding industry to help our clients keep their memories alive so they can experience the same happy emotions of their wedding whenever they want. We know those memories are important because marriage can be hard. We've been married for thirteen and a half years, and our own engagement and wedding photos help us remember why we fell in love and promised to love the other 'till death do us part.' We are also inspired to be in the wedding industry because we think it is important to have meaningful photographs to share with future generations. Every story, big or small, is a story worth telling."
What do you love most about working with couples?
"Our favorite thing about working with couples is learning about each love story and creating a finished product - wedding album or wall art - that tells of a significant day in that love story. We consider it a privilege and honor to record such incredible memories for our clients."
