A Blossoming Grand Rapids Wedding: The Real Wedding of Marah and Allan Robinette

When Marah began her job at Robinette’s Apple Orchard, she didn’t expect her one true love to be the one working at the donut machine! Allan knew how much Marah loves Christmas, and that’s why his proposal absolutely shined with joy of the season! He proposed at Frederik Meijer Gardens under a Christmas tree. We love that Christmas magic!

Marah had no idea what she wanted her wedding to look like. She says, “Since the apple orchard is such a big part of our lives and we were getting married in May, I went with an Apple Blossom Time theme.” Because of the venue’s amazing view and the cozy atmosphere, this couple felt right at home at the University Club!

Marah tried on eighty-four gowns before she found the right one. We love that plunging neckline! “I wanted a massive dress,” Marah says. “When I slipped into that elegant ballgown, I knew it was the one!”

Marah says that her videographer cut and edited the video of their ceremony the day of the wedding, so all the guests could watch it at the reception. Talk about hustle!

Advice from the couple

Marah encourages brides to enjoy every minute of their wedding. “Go try on one hundred gowns and look on Pinterest for hours and hours. When it’s all said and done, you’ll never be able to do that stuff again," she says.
