Catch a Glimpse of Enchantment in this Timeless Holly, Michigan Style Shoot

Anya of Anya Elizabeth Photography envisioned a shoot that captured a timeless feel that focused on the brides. "One word that comes to
mind when looking at the photos is 'enchanted' and that’s just what I was going for," Anya gushes. "I think there are so many fads going around right now (boho, vintage, rustic, etc.) that I wanted to steer away from and bring back 'the classic bride'." Anya also did an amazing job of translating this timelessness in the photos she captured!

The main focus of this shoot was the brides, so the rest of the shoot was kept classic and simple to help them take center stage. The most important thing was finding dresses that fit Anya's vision, and Expressions in Silk Bridal provided perfect gowns for the occasion! Anya admits, "I did tell the bridal shop owner that I wanted more classic gowns, no dark or cream-colored dresses. Although I also wanted a mix of models and sizes to show beauty in all forms!" Though she was hesitant about the pink gown at first, Anya ended up loving the way it fit into the scene. 

Unfortunately, despite hard searching, Anya couldn't find a makeup artist for the day. The brides ended up doing their own makeup, and we think they all did a fabulous job! The hairstylist, Hairpins and Happiness, was super beneficial to the shoot. "She did two looks on the models and did them all within fifteen to thirty minutes. She kept the brides timeless with very classic updos and curls," Anya raves. All of the brides look stunning and absolutely timeless with everything tied together.
 

Take a look at those bouquets! Though they are simple, they are such a beautiful touch to this classic shoot. Anya had just one request for the florist she worked with: neutral flowers. "I let the florist do the rest. Which I think is how it should be, this is their specialty, and I want them to be able to showcase THEIR skills," Anya says.
 

Anya loved the venue. "I’m a sucker for anything unique and I think this venue is just really one-of-a-kind, which I love as a photographer. But I think what really sold me is how they managed to make the location so charming and timeless," Anya explains. The modern feel of the venue with so many unique touches is what truly pulled Anya to it. There are many rooms and a whole host of rentals available, so no vision is impossible!
