Tatiana and Gabriel crossed paths thanks to a mutual friend. After their initial meeting, the pair knew that there was something between them worth pursuing! Gabriel popped the question to Tatiana at a vineyard after their wine tour. “He had both of our families waiting there to surprise me after he proposed,” she says.
As the couple began planning their wedding, COVID-19 threw a wrench into their original plans. They were still able to roll with the punches and have a gorgeous minimony! “Bottom line, I wanted to be married to my fiance so the day was still perfect,” Tatiana says.
When the couple had to postpone their large wedding, Tatiana knew that her original wedding gown was too formal for their minimony plans. “I immediately began to scour the Internet (because shops were closed) for dresses that were fun and flirty,” she says. “The dress I found was the complete opposite of my original dress--it was so fluffy and fun (which made for excellent twirl pictures). I immediately fell in love. After the stress of 2020, I really just wanted our minimony to be as fun, colorful and bright as possible.”
What we love
The couple hosted their minimony at the same venue where their original wedding was planned. Tatiana adds, “I really wanted this wedding to be as relaxed, fun and bright as possible--with a touch of elegance as well.”
Advice from the couple
“The biggest piece of advice I would give would be to follow your own set of rules when it comes to your special day,” Tatiana says. “Try to forget what you’re supposed to do and do what means the most to you and your significant other.”
