Savannah and Zach had a long-distance relationship for seven months before Savannah moved down to Indianapolis to be with him. One weekend when the couple went to Chicago, they were boarding a cruise on Lake Michigan and Zach dropped down to one knee on the dock!
At first, Savannah wasn’t sure what style of dress she wanted, but as soon as she tried on her first one, it was a match! She adds, “I knew that I needed to keep an open mind, so I tried on probably twenty to thirty more dresses between four stores. But, I ended up going right back to that very first dress.”
This couple wanted to get married as soon as possible, so their planning period lasted under six months. Because of the time crunch, Savannah says that everything had to be finalized as soon as possible. “I just dove in headfirst and started knocking things off of my list!” she says. She gathered her ideas from Pinterest, then picked vendors based on what her planner recommended.
What we love
One highlight that Savannah loved was the beautiful floral designs by Coby Palmer Designs. “I loved the flowers – they were absolutely perfect. Coby made my flower hairpiece look so pretty and elegant – I really appreciate the time he put into that for me.”
Advice from the couple
Savannah urges future brides not to stress too much about the money in their budget. “I thought about what mattered most to me, and that’s what I put emphasis on when it came to budgeting my costs,” she says.
