Colorful, Timeless Whimsy: A Bold and Romantic Night at the Museum

Jessie Silva, the photographer for this shoot, has been dreaming of planning a shoot at the Grand Rapids Public Museum since 2019. After COVID derailed style shoots, Jessie was finally able to bring her vision to life this year. “Since the Meijer Theater is a fairly basic theater set-up, I wanted to bring in a lot of florals and colors to fill it up and brighten the space. I did not have a defined vision at first other than a lot of bold colors,” Jessie explains. The biggest struggle she faced was finding the dress. First, she found a beautiful blush bridesmaid dress with floral details, but Jessie couldn’t help herself after Instagram recommended this white gown with beautiful pops of colorful florals!

Jessie teamed up with talented planner and coordinator Brittany Chesney of 1945 Event Co. to bring this whimsical style shoot to life. We love the way all the décor brings a bright splash of color into this timeless venue!
