Discover the Fairytale Ending of this Elegant Ohio Wedding: The Real Wedding of Rachel and Matthew Staten

Even though Rachel and Matthew originally met at a church dance, they didn’t reconnect until later during college. Sparks flew, and they knew they had found something special! During a trip to Hawaii, Matthew paused during a hike and asked Rachel to be his wife. She of course said 'yes'!

Rachel was drawn toward a poofy, ballgown style of dress, but had trouble finding the right one. After searching through multiple stores, she finally found 'the one'! 

These floral arrangements and chandeliers are dripping with elegance. Rachel mainly used Pinterest for inspiration. She adds, “When I started planning my wedding I didn’t know what I wanted but I had some ideas. Once I started actually looking at possibilities, my plans were different than I had ever imagined.”

What we love

“Prior to the wedding I didn’t want to see Matthew,” Rachel says. “So the night before I kicked him out of the house and had him sleep at his parents’ house. This made our first look more meaningful.”

Advice from the couple
