Ching Tan from Design Quintessentials, LLC knew she wanted have a style shoot that positively popped with gold! Her shoot at The Holly Vault gave us just that with an overarching dusty blue color scheme with a gorgeous pop of gold! The team on this shoot came more than ready to use the venue to their advantage while creating this awesome shoot. We're absolutely stunned at how it turned out! Scroll down to see more of what this awesome team pulled off!

Ching says this shoot was a group effort, just like all weddings are. “It’s always great working with professionals,” Ching says. “The only issue we had that day was the weather, and sub-zero degrees caused many of the hydrangeas to brown immediately.” We love that this team was able to rise to the challenge and make this shoot fabulous despite Mother Nature!

This venue caught the attention of the team almost instantly when they saw the variety of locations it offered. Ching explains, “The ceremony chapel was like a blank canvas. The sky was the limit, so any color would work well with it. I think it fits perfectly as the venue has that rustic yet cozy feel. It’s perfect for what we wanted.”

Let’s switch from the venue to gush about that dress for a bit. We love those gorgeous sleeves! The plunging neckline gives the dress an extra layer of drama that we are dying over. Ching says that the dress was chosen as a mix of elegance and rustic, which the team felt fit right in with the venue. She says, “We wanted to showcase the beautiful model with a little of a boho feel to it, yet very elegant on the dress. The venue has a little rustic to it so it’s perfect.”

But it’s not just the dress that shines in this shoot—it’s the bride herself. When the team was discussing makeup for her, they wanted to stay classic with a timeless romantic feel. Paired with the bride’s naturally curly hair, it hits the aesthetic perfectly!

Ching says, “The makeup artist used warm colors on the eyes, lips and cheeks to look like a natural flush of the skin. We also added a hairpiece for flavor on one of the shots. It best suited the facial features.” We love that this team took the model’s natural look and added their own flair!

That cake is a marbled tower of yum! The team wanted to embrace the main theme of dusty blue and a pop of gold, but switch it up with clean lines to add a bit of texture. Ching explains that the cake artist, “wanted to include the elegance of the beautiful gold so did a full gold leaf tier. And of course, we added the florals to match. A little elegance but still a bit rough around the edges!” Elegant yet rustic—we love it!

The team included a display chair linen and showcased a high centerpiece design to keep this shoot trendy. We love that they used lots of gold candle holders with shades of blue taper candles and blue-dyed beverages to keep their color scheme consistent throughout!
