Billi and Brian met during a mutual friend’s birthday party. Though they only connected briefly the first time, they stayed on each other’s minds and hearts until they ran into each other again during another event thrown by the same friend. Fate wanted them to be together!

Think you’ve had a memorable experience with an Uber? What about a proposal happening immediately after a ride? Billi says that Brian proposed to her shortly after an Uber ride with a very observant driver. She says, “We were laughing in the back when the driver made a comment on how great we were getting along and said that we should be married. When we got to our destination, Brian told me to go in and get a table. Then, he had the driver take him to buy the ring, came back and proposed!” Now there's a man with great timing!

Two was the number of dresses Billi ended up buying for her wedding. She admits, “After so many shopping trips, I started feeling pressured, so I bought my first dress. I knew on the way home that it was not ‘my dress.’” After many more trips to bridal shops, she finally found the dress she loved. According to her, it was the exact opposite of what she was originally looking for, but she felt like a princess as soon as it was zipped. It had to be ‘the one!’

The white roses and hydrangeas add class and timelessness to this dreamy wedding! Billi says that Kelly from Flowered Occasions added a perfect floral touch for her big day. The couple chose their photographer, Joslyn of Crowe's Eye Photography, based on online reviews and a personal interview. Billi gushes, “It was a chance meeting that became a tremendous blessing to our special day.” Fate clearly had a say in this wedding, and we couldn’t be happier for them!

We love that the simple touch of lights and candles adds a whole new level of elegance to this reception hall. Billi says they only visited one other venue before finding their dream location at Garment Factory Events. She says, “We both fell in love with the beauty and history of the building. The staff was wonderful and helped us every step of the way.”

What we love

Billi and Brian’s cake topper feature the bride and groom—and their 16-year-old cat, Lucy! We love that they included their four-legged family member at their wedding. The simple touch of having a monogrammed decal on the dance floor adds a personal touch of fun to the venue that their whole family enjoyed!

The couple also used Brian’s grandfather’s wedding band for the reception. There’s nothing better than dancing the night away with your family!

Advice from the couple

Billi urges future married couples to live their special moment to the fullest! She says, “Everyone says that it’s all over in the blink of an eye—and that is an understatement! Enjoy every second of planning and take the time to enjoy every moment at the ceremony and reception. Also, don’t let anyone pressure you into anything you don’t want.” Make your wedding uniquely you!
