The Engagement of Danielle and John: A Michigan Engagement Session

Danielle and John are high school sweethearts who have known each other for their entire lives. Danielle explains, “John and I have been best friends since my freshman year of high school and his sophomore year of high school. We’ve always known about each other since our families were friends growing up. When John went away to college, I was a senior in high school and I just knew I loved him. He felt the same way. Since then, we’ve been inseparable.” Danielle and John describe each other as best friends more than anything else and it goes to show that dating your best friend may be one of the most important and best decisions to make in your life.
 

John decided to pop the question while he and Danielle were in Aspen on a trip. Danielle says, "We took a long gondola ride up to the restaurant. Right when we got off the gondola, I turned around and John was on one knee at the edge of the beautiful mountain. It was the most beautiful, emotional and perfect moment in every way." 

One thing that we love about this engagement is Danielle’s ring! “My fiancé, John, choose and designed my ring himself,” she says. “I can’t thank him enough because it's absolutely beautiful and I couldn’t imagine anything else. My ring is an oval diamond with a diamond halo around it with a platinum silver band. I love it because it’s very unique and so special to me that John designed it himself.”
