Floral Beach Boho in South Haven, Michigan: The Real Wedding of Katie & Matt Forloine

Katie and Matt's wedding was inspired by the laid-back, beachy vibe of South Haven. "We wanted the day to feel summery, colorful and fun, with a relaxed atmosphere that reflected the setting,” Katie shares. With yellow and blue as the accent colors, Katie and Matt added in plenty of bright and cheerful colors throughout the day! One of our favorite details from their wedding was the elegant florals and the summery feel that the blooms brought into their celebration. There were also plenty of wooden and wicker elements to bring in an air of boho that contrasted the elegant details beautifully. And we love Katie’s stunning gown! It has a unique, straight-across neckline and is adorned with both pearls and delicate petals to blend together opulence and nature, just like the rest of their wedding.

 

What We Love

Katie and Matt kicked off their wedding weekend by getting everyone in the beachy mood. Inspired by their recent trip to Mykonos, the couple hosted a welcome party at Matt’s mom’s house—which is right on Lake Michigan—for all their friends and family that they called “Michigan Mykonos”. It was the perfect way to get guests excited for their nuptials and to create a unique and personal experience for all of those that they love the most!
