Bold color palettes, barns and lace--what else could you ask for in a style shoot? Beth of Beth Waterman Photography wanted to set an example to couples that showcased brighter colors with eclectic details. Beth recognizes that micro weddings are the current trend and believes that downsizing a huge ceremony is an opportunity to make a statement with minor decor pieces.

As a fan of lace, Beth knew that a timeless lacy gown would work beautifully with this shoot’s aesthetic. The intricate details are enough to make anyone swoon! The model’s hair was styled in an updo to further call attention to the dress. Her bright makeup colors tied in with the overall color pattern of the shoot.

This barn venue was perfect for the team’s vision because of the various aesthetic choices within one location. Beth adds, “I also love that it feels more like a family barn and not so much a wedding venue.”

The details on the table tie in a variety of colors and glassware to show off a unique and vintage style. The custom dyed table linens offer a new spin on a trend. “We chose to tie in the watercolor and ombre look that is so popular these days but in a way that was not overbearing,” Beth notes.
