This shoot brings a touch of sparkle to a natural beachy elopement. Danielle Browning of Dashing Designs wanted to showcase how lovely Lake Erie can be during the fall season, and titled this shoot “Nautical Glam.” “Small town meets bold and the beautiful is exactly what I wanted to convey,” Danielle explains. “The challenge with a small public beach is that you only have a short window of time to get just the right shots in, but nature managed to provide us with the perfect evening and sunset background.”

One of the biggest statements--and challenges--of this shoot is that stunning gown! Danielle explains keeping the dress clean was the biggest trial the team had to deal with, but it was all worth it. She notes, “I’ve always gone against the grain when it comes to design, steering away from what I normally see in magazines or television, so I took on the ‘bigger the dress, the bigger the bouquet’ mentality with this shoot. I wanted to make sure that the dress didn’t overpower the bouquet and the bouquet to not overpower the dress.”

We love the way Danielle used the Pantone Color of the Year, Living Coral, in the bouquet, but added simple nautical touches such as the navy and white striped ribbon to keep up the theme. Danielle notes that she hopes to inspire a nautical glam wedding trend that brides will absolutely love for the upcoming season!

The team wanted the bride’s style to be “pure glam.” The bride’s styled smokey eye and nude lip give a dramatic touch to the otherwise soft romance of this shoot. Her hair, done up in beachy waves, perfectly conveys a late-night-at-the-beach vibe while remaining elegant.

The tablescape’s natural vibes make us want to sit and stay a while! We love the touches of the navy and white satin linens, seashells, and gold/copper tones from the glasses. The sequins make this shoot sparkle with romance! Because Danielle envisioned this elopement to be simplistic, she opted not to have a cake. But that ceremony arch certainly steals the show!
