A Heartwarming Park Engagement: The Engagement of Marcie and Hanna

Hanna and Marcie are a pair who like to impress each other, so they both proposed! Hanna asked Marcie by using a letterboard with the words “Will you Marry Me” disguised as a Christmas present. Marcie asked a few days later with a play on how she asked Hanna to be her girlfriend. “I attached a reason why I loved her to 11 roses, and when she got to the 12th, I came out and asked her to be my wife,” Marcie says. “It was important that we both had that special memory to look back on.”

The couple went shopping for rings together and chose similar elegant styles of one center stone and a thin band. Their rings are almost as shining as their smiles!

It was important to this couple that they found a photographer who was LGBTQ+ friendly. Sara of Sara Gardner Photography was a perfect fit for what this couple was looking for. Hanna and Marcie wanted to incorporate the outdoors into their shoot and take pictures around the same time of year they plan on getting married. Sara had some great ideas, and these ladies look gorgeous!

Planning for the wedding has been simple so far for this couple. Marcie says, “For us, it’s not about every detail being perfect or every moment being planned, it’s about Hanna and I enjoying every second of our day.” We can’t wait to see the big day!
