Megan and Chase met at work and became fast friends, but Megan kept her distance. Due to a miscommunication, she thought he was already married. When she learned he was single, she made a move and they both hit it off! After two years of dating, Chase popped the question during a trip the couple took to Venice, Italy. It made for one memorable gondola ride!
Due to her veteran status, Megan found a nonprofit that hosted a giveaway with local bridal salons for brides with military involvement. We love the unique story behind Megan’s dress hunt, and that subtle lace design on the bottom. She adds, “All I knew was I wanted a princess dress – something big and ball gown.”
As soon as she could, Megan began planning the colors and details of her wedding. “I knew I wanted it to be colorful, vibrant and to subtly tell our story,” Megan explains. “Since we were engaged in Italy and spent a lot of time sipping Limoncello, I knew lemons would fit our summer wedding perfectly.” Most of her vendors were found via Instagram, like the delicious catering provided by Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering!
What we love
We adore the way Megan incorporated the lemon theme into her wedding’s design. From using lemon trees as centerpieces to delicious lemon-vanilla sugar cookies, this citrus ceremony looked like a blast!
Advice from the couple
“Read, read, read reviews!” Megan gushes. “And please, give reviews once your wedding is over.”
