When Charla of Charla Dee Photos dreamed up this style shoot, she imagined rich colors to pop for a winter wedding. "The garnets, deep purples and fresh snowfall; such a dreamy vibe," Charla gushes. Since garnet is the birthstone for January and reminiscent of a Christmas or Valentine's red, it makes perfect sense to use it for a winter wedding. The deep purples paired so beautifully with garnet that the team couldn't say no!
Rentals can make or break a wedding look, so the creative team knew that they needed some top-tier decor items to pull off this luxurious shoot. Charla shared her vision and got some incredible results from their rental vendor. Charla shares, "She selected the perfect pieces mixing traditional glassware with antique white china pieces." Luckily, their venue had some amazing rentals to use as well, including the velvet sofa, ornate arches and silk florals. These glamorous items combined created the perfect high-end shoot!
As for the tablescape, we are in love! The red tablecloth is the perfect backing to this high-end look. The clear chargers allow the red to show through and create a stunning contrast with the white and gold plates. We also love the addition of the green glass goblets. The dried blood orange slice is another unique touch that shows this team's eye for detail. And those name cards are subtle elegance at its finest! They blend seamlessly with the watercolor invitations used for this celebration.
No luxurious shoot would be complete without a dress to match that decadence. "The gorgeous Adrienne gown, named after our beautiful bride, was a detailed lace down with a detachable long tulle skirt," Charla explains. "The dress was simple, yet classy to fit the overall dreamy vibe of the shoot." We love the silhouette and the overall stunning look. Natural and elegant was the direction from Charla for the hair and makeup, and the team (including the bride doing her own hair!) nailed the look. As for the classic black tux, we love the leather touch on the edges of the lapel!
Inspired by recent trends for an extravagant dessert table, the team put together an array of beautiful desserts with a unique addition. Charla raves, "We incorporated a tea bar into this shoot. Serving multiple teas with all of the additives!" That cake is the the centerpiece of this display. It's a three-tiered, lightly-iced cake that looks absolutely divine with those roses and babies breath on top! Other desserts in this arrangement include macrons, lemon meringue mini cakes and a chocolate raspberry mini cake.
This shoot would not be as beautiful without the added texture of high-end blooms. Charla says, "We had a mix of roses, spray roses, calla lilies, baby's breath and eucalyptus. Roses are my absolute favorite flower and the rich purple of the calla lily paired nicely. We added eucalyptus and baby's breath for an extra pop and dimension." The flowers add so much soft texture to help build the dreaminess of this shoot!
