This Modern Indianapolis Wedding is Full of Natural Light: The Real Wedding of Jess MacLean and Andrew Riley

Jess and Andrew crossed paths when the two were studying together in college. After finding a lot of things in common, the two took the plunge and went out on a date. Soon after, they were inseparable. After a day of hiking, Andrew popped the question at the end of the trail!

Jess went into her dress hunt looking for a floral gown but soon found the style wasn’t for her. Instead, she found a lovely ballgown that fit her vibe much better. “I tried on this dress and immediately knew that it was the one,” she gushes.

What we love

Lavender is Jess’s favorite flower, so the pair incorporated the bloom into the details of the wedding whenever they could. She adds, “We put it in our signature cocktail, flower bouquets, table settings at the rehearsal dinner and even had a lavender truffle in the guest favors!”

Advice from the couple

Jess wants to remind couples that the end goal for their wedding is to celebrate the new union by throwing a big party. “Keep this in mind as you plan your big day, and even when small details may not go as planned, you will still have the day of your dreams!” she says.
