Modern Neutral Whimsy: An Industrial Southwest Michigan Style Shoot

When this team of professionals came together, they decided they wanted to create a shoot that was modern and whimsical that featured designs that hadn’t been overdone in the wedding industry. Venturing away from their usual color scheme, these vendors incorporated subtle touches of yellow, blue and pink into this rather neutral scene. The flowers on the tablescape are a perfect example of those spring colors shining around the space. Speaking of flowers, we love the floral lace details in that dress! It couples beautifully with the bride’s loose curls and natural makeup for an exquisite spring look.

 

What We Love

Journeyman was the ideal backdrop for Laura Spencer Photography to capture this shoot. “They are just such a well known space, their industrial elements are unique and the perfect canvas for our vision of a colorful, whimsical design,” Kelsey Hahn, the planner of this shoot, raves. We love the combination of textures throughout the space as well as the natural light that spills through the large windows!
