Modernity and Elegance Combine in This Carmel, Indiana Springtime Style Shoot

"We were fortunate enough to be invited by Iron & Ember to capture and embody their gorgeous Carmel, Indiana venue at a stunning spring open house," Anna Clark of Anna Clark Photography explains. With a newer venue, it is always special to be the first to photograph it and put your special take on it, which the team definitely did!

The team wanted to build their shoot off the vibes the venue already had. "Our goal was to celebrate the chic modern interiors with exceptional gowns and fresh styling, bringing a bridal style concept that was romantic and current," Anna shares. "We love Iron & Ember for its perfect blend of homey details and elegant finishes. It's a dream for photography with its light interiors and beautiful windows!" The team wanted to capture the magic a bride feels when she sweeps into the room for the first time in front of all her friends and family.

To best capture the feel of the venue, the team decided to use two different gowns in the shoot. Our first was an incredible satin gown with subtle floral motifs, the sweetest ruffle hem details, and a lingerie-inspired bodice with peplum for a modern look," Anna gushes. "Our second gown was the most dreamy blush tiered chiffon gown with an asymmetrical strap detail at the neckline." We love how the bride's smokey eye and natural lip transitions between both the looks!

The team decided on a spring color palette that emulates the feel of flowers blooming after the coolness of winter. There are plenty of powder blue and blush pink tones in this shoot. Anna raves, "The blush satin tables had the perfect texture to catch the light and were beautifully mirrored by our gowns. The entire look of the reception hall felt inviting, fresh and romantic with their contributions."

Incorporating as much romance into this scene as possible, the team used lots of floral touches and candles. "Florals celebrated current trends as well with beautifully airy arrangements and Ikebana-inspiration for minimalism while maintaining a 'wow!' look for the reception," Anna says. Many things like the bride's hair accessories and earrings are big trends in the wedding world right now, so look no further for your wedding style inspo!
