Every couple wants their wedding day to be memorable. If you're located near Indianapolis or if you want to be married in Central Indiana, we've found the perfect venue for you! Built in 1876, Sanctuary on Penn is a classic venue that is one-of-a-kind. As office manager Jade Shively raves, "There’s nothing quite like it in the heart of Indianapolis. From our vaulted ceilings in the main hall to our penny flooring in the den, you and your guests are sure to remember your time here." With their full-service professionals on staff, your celebration is sure to be one that you love with little stress. Plus, Sanctuary on Penn boasts both a wedding planner and day-of coordinator free of charge to make sure your wedding goes off without a hitch!

Traci from LoveLight Events wanted this dream creative team to bring to life a style shoot that highlighted only one color. They wanted to be sure to use a color that isn't common for weddings, and since purple was in season and not seen very often, that's what the team selected. "One challenge that we had with the shoot was bringing a light and airy color palette and mood to a venue that is dark and moody," Traci explains. "We had to use shades of purple that would look luxurious inside a dark, renovated church." Utilizing lots of natural light, the team proved that the typically moody Sanctuary on Penn can also be light and cheerful depending on a couple's style. One way they blended light and moody was in the floral arrangements created by Tori Leigh Events. And we have Heather Sherrill Photography to thank for these stunning images captured!

Wanting to match the uniqueness and luxury of Sanctuary on Penn, Traci and her team opted for less common wedding décor to balance classic and modern trends in a venue fit for any theme. Luxurious and elegant china and glassware are beautiful contrasts to newer trends like the floral wall and neon signs.

The desserts from Tameka's Cakes are another modern touch with the inclusion of donuts and other quick treats in addition to a traditional multi-tiered cake. We are also in love with the stationery from Darling Design Co. since it beautifully blends with the theme and color scheme.

The dress was another detail that Traci wanted to get just right. "When selecting the wedding gown, it was important to have a gown that had some shade of purple as an undertone to stick with the theme. As a person who loves details, I also made sure the gown had some lace and beading details," Traci gushes. "We also incorporated a simple veil that was a nice accessory to the gown, but it didn’t overpower the gown." We think this dress from Sophia's Bridal and Tux is simply stunning and our groom's tuxedo, also provided by Sophia's, complements it perfectly.

Jade welcomes any couple to visit Sanctuary on Penn's lovely space in person. "We invite everyone to come by for a tour to see the venue for themselves! We’ll detail everything we have to offer and go over everything you need. At the end, we’ll be able to send over our 'Dream Sheet', which has all our pricing and estimates for you to tinker with. We’re here for you!"
