Get ready to get cozy with this harvest autumn style shoot! Lacey of Lacey Rene Studios says the team behind this shoot was inspired by the deep, rich colors of their favorite season. She notes, “Hints of Autumn were beginning to tease the Midwest and as we anticipated the change of season, the aura and mood found its place. The tones, colors, smells…we love everything about fall and we wanted to incorporate that love within the shoot.”
The minimalistic space in this venue helped the team highlight the natural light that came in from all sides. Lacey explains that this was one of the main draws of the venue. “When we envisioned the final product of our shoot we wanted future brides to see ways to incorporate fresh ideas (hanging installation, pompous grass backdrops, accent furniture, etc) and this space provided just that!”
The table setting is a work of art all on its own! We love how the color scheme is carried throughout the two-tone glassware and candles. And can we talk about that gorgeous cake? The impressive multi-layered maroon, mustard and white color combination will satisfy any bride’s sweet tooth!
The addition of the leather chair for the bride and groom’s portraits was a tiny touch that helps the portraits go far. Lacey notes, “It was minimal yet on-trend with what we’ve been seeing in current weddings.”
The team wanted the shoot’s florals to look as if they had just been pulled out of a harvest field. The multiple layers of roses and wheat give off a dreamy effect of being out in the natural elements. “Everything was selected with the name of the styled shoot in mind,” Lacey adds. “From the deep, rich reds to the warm tones of amber and bronze and chestnut.”
The team used three wedding dresses, each with individual styles. From vintage to modern, to sleek and unique, each one of these dresses showcases a different personality for a unique bride. Lacey says, “We hope that brides see not one (but three!) gowns and realize there are no boundaries on their day!” We love how the bride’s soft romantic updo and natural tones of makeup don’t distract from her organic beauty.
