A local bridal salon in Highland, Indiana is set to participate in an Operation Wedding Gown event, presented by Brides Across America. Elegance Wedding and Evening Wear is one of 60 salons across the country to donate free wedding dresses to military and first responder brides. Operation Wedding Gown will be held at Elegance Wedding and Evening Wear July 5 and 6, 2016 at the store.
The event is intended to thank the brave women who serve our country. Founder of Brides Across America, Heidi Janson says, "We want to honor those who are working hard saving lives here in the States and continue to honor our military fighting for our freedom here and abroad." Since its inception in 2008, Brides Across America and its partner salons have donated over 15,000 gowns.
Elegance Wedding and Evening Wear will have gowns valued up to $5,000 available by various designers. They encourage brides to register early at www.bridesacrossamerica.com. First responders eligible for this event include brides currently in the police force, firefighters, certified first responders and EMT's. Military brides must bring proper identification along with deployment papers to be presented the day of the event. First responders must bring a valid work ID on the day of the event.
