Our 2019 "Mother-of-the-Bride Dream Dress Giveaway" Winner Finds Her Dress at Judee's!

Many couples couldn’t finish planning their wedding (or even begin to start) without the help of their mothers. Whether you are a bride or a groom—your mom deserves a special spotlight on your wedding day. That is why WeddingDay and Judee’s Boutique teamed up to present our second annual “Mother-of-the-Bride (or Groom!) Dream Dress Giveaway”. We held open nominations for moms across the Midwest to win a one-on-one shopping trip at Judee’s Boutique with one of their Style Consultants. Our lucky winner, Vera, and her daughter, Ashley, came to one of Judee’s three locations for the ultimate mother-of-the-bride shopping experience. Working with their Granger, Indiana Store Manager, Karen, and Style Consultant, Laura — Vera was able to select a gorgeous mother-of-the-bride dress! Ashley nominated her mom who has been helping Ashley plan her dream wedding for September 21st at Lighthouse Lodge in Monticello, Indiana. Having recently lost over 100 pounds, Vera was excited to find the perfect dress for her daughter's fall wedding!

Judee’s started by letting Vera and Ashley look through their extensive inventory. Judee’s truly has it all from size 0 to 22 (not that size matters). When you walk through the doors of Judee’s you are immediately greeted with a luxurious space that you could spend hours in (it is any shopper’s dream come true!). Vera was able to select some gowns that she liked as stylist, Laura, asked about Vera’s preferences and concerns. Judee’s service truly stands out because all of their Style Consultants are required to be certified. Unlike other salons or boutiques—Judee’s takes precautions to ensure that every shopper’s experience will not only be enjoyable, but successful. After identifying all of Vera’s desires, they were ready to try on their first selection of dresses. They began with a gorgeous, A-line gown. Laura commented on how the silhouette flattered Vera’s curves. While the dress was beautiful, there was more to try on!

Vera ended up falling in love with two of the five dresses she tried on. The decision came between two Cameron Blake gowns. The first, was an elegant, black chiffon dress with lace bodice. The dress was selected by Judee’s stylist because it offered a gorgeous figure and modern style. The second dress was a lace, purple gown complete with a peplum. The peplum gorgeously framed Vera’s figure while a jeweled, centerpiece accented her waist. It is easy to tell why Vera had a hard decision to make! Laura said to Vera, “You should wear the dress, the dress shouldn’t wear you.” True to Judee’s fashion, Vera understood that the dress she went home with that day should not only feel comfortable but also make her feel elegant and timeless. 

The finishing touch was a pair of Sorrelli earrings that sat beautifully over Vera’s neckline. They framed her face while adding a subtle touch of grace. Judee’s supplied Vera with everything she would need to look stunning on her daughter’s wedding day. It was truly a one-stop shop for Vera or any other mom looking to accomplish an unforgettable look.
