Abbey Bullerdick of Abbey Elaine Photography and Vanessa Rische of Copper Jade Weddings and Events dreamt up a style shoot that encompasses the soulfulness of the Midwest. Abbey says, “This styled shoot came to life through the vision of myself and our town's only wedding coordinator Vanessa of Copper Jade Weddings and Events. We loved the idea of showcasing what the Midwest has to offer which is its abundance of nature.”
The team first chose a location that would help show off the nature of the Midwest. Abbey says, “We wanted to get back to nature. Our goal was to showcase woodsy over rustic which is a popular theme here in the Midwest. Greenery was what attracted us to the reception venue location. We love the canopy of trees that provided a moody and romantic feel once we placed the lights on the table and trees.”
Vanessa incorporated this inspiration into the floral and decor design for the shoot. Abbey says, “We wanted as much greenery as we could get our hands on, with the hint of bold colors through big bold flowers. We chose spray roses, cabbage roses and a large mix of greenery and misty blue.”
Marie Gabriel Couture provided a stunning gown that embraced the theme of the shoot with its chic design and trendy style. Lavender and Hops Style Lounge created a soft, romantic look with a graceful updo and a sultry, smokey eye.
