Inspired by a desire to blend timeless romance with refined sophistication, this style shoot was designed to elevate the beauty of classic wedding aesthetics with soft textures, graceful details and a gentle nod to modern trends. Designed by Ashley Brost of Luva Events and hosted by Happily Ever Styled at the stately yet serene Lizton Lodge, this shoot was a true celebration of elegance in every sense!

The concept behind Petals and Pearls was born from the desire to create something that felt both elevated and deeply romantic. The grandeur of Lizton Lodge—with its neutral interiors, manicured grounds and architectural charm—provided the perfect canvas. The challenge was to enhance the venue’s natural beauty without overshadowing it, and the result was a space that felt intentionally designed yet effortlessly graceful. "We envisioned the space drenched in lush florals and delicate textures, with graceful details that would allow the beauty of our bride and groom to shine. The goal was to bring elegance to the forefront and let every detail—from the floral design to the styling—feel intentional and exquisite," Ashley shares. The dreamy result was perfectly captured by Meghan Alyssa Photography and Perfect Price Photography!

Ashley and her creative partners designed two complementary vignettes: a cozy, elevated rehearsal dinner setup and a softly styled reception look. The rehearsal dinner featured rattan chairs, caterpillar-style table layouts, silver-toned table lamps and delicate macarons at each place setting. The reception look embraced flowing linens, white chiavari chairs and an ivory draped linen backdrop that provided a soft, editorial-style frame for portraits.

Throughout the shoot, pearls became a subtle yet impactful motif, appearing in the gown details, table settings and even the soft glow of the floral palette. Another key trend woven into the day was residential-style lighting—specifically, table lamps that created ambient, romantic illumination.

The dresses utilized were timeless with a twist: clean silhouettes, romantic structure and just enough modern detailing to feel fresh. "They were selected to reflect a bride with refined taste: someone who appreciates a classic silhouette but also wants to feel contemporary and graceful," Ashley explains. Hair and makeup enhanced the overall softness of the shoot, with glowing skin, understated tones and elegant styling that let the brides' natural beauty shine.

The florals brought romantic textures and depth without overwhelming the space. Blooms in ivory, soft yellow and pale blue added a light, fragrant softness that tied perfectly into the shoot’s color story. The invitation suite followed suit—textured papers, delicate calligraphy and a clean, classic layout that blended seamlessly into the aesthetic.

The cake was a minimalist masterpiece: a three-tiered creation adorned with smooth ivory icing, delicate pearl accents and yellow floral touches that echoed the overall color palette. Ashley raves, "It was beautifully displayed on a blue, satin linen—an elegant focal point and true work of edible art."
