Its been almost 1/4 of the year...Did you give up slimming down for the gown?
Its been almost 100 days since the year started. How are you doing with sticking with your health and fitness resolutions for 2018?
As you read this, you are probably wondering, “Hey, why are we talking about resolutions. It's March.” The question you should ask yourself is: Have you forgotten about them already? or Are you not seeing results?
First of all, it's not to late. You think you don’t have time, but trust me. You do. I have brides that get in amazing shape in just 60 days. Here are five basic, easy-to-follow steps on how you can restart your resolutions and continue to slim down for the gown—even if the wedding is just weeks and months away.
Don’t tell everyone your goals. This can be hard if you already announced this to the world that you are slimming down for the gown, but trust me. No one will notice that you stopped posting. They want to see results. Keep it to yourself and your maid/matron of honor. She is your best friend and your biggest supporter. That’s why you asked her to be your maid/matron of honor, right? If not, you may want to re-evaluate that role. Research has shown that if you tell people your goals, you will feel that you have actually applied them without breaking a sweat. As a bride (moi) who couldn’t fit into her dress months before the wedding, it is critical to share with those who you know and can trust. Either you trust them or you don’t by now.
1. Be Realistic
Ask yourself: Is this goal really possible? A lot of brides freak out thinking that they don't have enough time, start panicking, go into desperation mode and will do anything that could affect their health. Do analyze if the goal is really realistic and whether or not it's going to stress you out more.
2. Meditate for at least 10 minutes a day
This is very important to regain your sanity. At first, this can be hard. When you carve out time for yourself, your stress and hormones are lower, making it easier to slim down for the gown. You are much more regulated and can better prioritize your time. Trust me. You need to carve out “me time."
3. Drink half you body weight in water
Drinking half your body weight throughout your day will help you greatly on your wedding day. Your photographer, makeup artist and videographer will love you more, too, as your skin and face will be further hydrated, balanced, toned, glow better and your are much more alert as to when you are actually hungry and when you are actually thirsty. You will start to feel the inches coming off.
4. Eat Whenever you are Hungry
Say what? Yesss, I said it. When you eat healthier food on a regular, timed basis, your body will react better, and you will be less likely to binge eat when you smell yummy food.
5. Hire an Expert
This means, hire someone with the right tools, knowledge and experience who can help you slim down for the gown. If the wedding planning is too much already (along with everything else going on in your life), and you cannot rely on yourself to slim down for the gown the healthy and right way, it is highly recommended you hire an expert. It can be anyone such as a nutritionist, a personal trainer, a bridal boot camp package subscription to a boutique fitness studio or—better yet—a wedding fitness coach who is specialized in helping brides slim down for the gown.
