This Romantic Valentine's Day Inspired Shoot Is Simply Swoon-Worthy

'Tis the season of love and romance, and nothing showcases it better than this stunning Grand Rapids Valentines's Day inspired style shoot. This stylish, heart-stopping shoot was the perfect matchup of Kellie from Hetler Photography and Michelle from Red Heel Events. This pair wanted to showcase a “Gilded Age Romance with a Valentine’s Day twist.” Grab your valentine (or galentine) and check out this swoon-worthy shoot celebrating our favorite holiday!

Nothing says love like lace, and this gown from BIANKA Bridal has all the right details! “With the color palette leaning more vintage, ivory and lace were ideal,” Michelle says. “The ladies at BIANKA Bridal listened to all our design plans and suggested a few dresses that fit perfectly into that style.” We love the large, classic curls of this bride’s hair! Paired with the deep bold shade of her lipstick, this bride is ready to rock her big day!

The team wanted to make roses the focal point of the design. “Red roses symbolize love and passion and pink roses symbolize kindness and positive attitudes,” Michelle notes.  The color palette reflects this with its vintage tones of deep red, dusty pink and blush.

The Lit venue was one of the original idea inspirations for the shoot. Michelle notes that a large, hand-painted mural of Cupid in the main room fit so perfectly into the team’s theme, it was a match made in heaven! She adds, “The Lit’s large windows drew us in because we knew we would be able to capture some gorgeous natural light images.”
