Emily and Eric met on a bar crawl during their time in college. They immediately hit it off, and when it came time to pop the big question, Eric’s proposal was on par! The pair was golfing and Eric had written “Emily, will you marry me?” on his golf ball. Now that’s a hole in one!
It was love at first sight with Emily’s dress! She knew it was the one, even though it was just the first one she tried on. We love that elegant lacework!
The couple knew they wanted their wedding to be a good experience for family and friends. They kept the planning process simple so it wouldn’t cause much stress. Emily notes, “I tried to take my favorite things from other weddings and incorporate them into our wedding.”
What we love
Emily’s goal was for everyone to have a good time! “We tried to make our wedding easy and fun for everyone,” she explains. “The church, reception and hotel were all within a mile of each other which made it easy for the guests. I let my bridesmaids choose their own dresses so that they could wear something they were comfortable in.”
Advice from the couple
Emily admits hiring a planner really does come in handy, even if you are Type-A. She explains, “I am a really organized person and some people like me might think they don’t need a wedding planner because they can do it on their own. On our wedding day, I never had to worry about the time, I never had to tell anyone where to go; I got to enjoy the day with my family, friends and new husband, and a big part of that was thanks to my planner.”
