This Sunset Michigan Boho Wedding Will Fuel Your Wild Heart: The Real Wedding of McKenzie and Hayden Hennes

Mutual friends first introduced McKenzie and Hayden in high school. The pair fell out of contact but reconnected in college when they bumped into each other in the hall between classes. After the pair knew it was meant to be, Hayden popped the question during a family photoshoot. “I was so surprised and it was absolutely perfect for us,” McKenzie gushes.

The moment McKenzie saw this gown at Becker’s Bridal, she instantly knew it was 'the one.' She tried it on, and was immediately sold! “I have loved this dress for years after I found it on Pinterest,” she adds.

As a wedding planner herself, McKenzie knew exactly what she wanted in her wedding, but had a difficult time finding the right venue. The couple instead hosted their event outside! She notes, “The outdoors gives a blank canvas for implementing whatever style you want.” Their sunset celebration was beautifully captured by Hetler Photography!

McKenzie encourages brides to hire a wedding planner to assist them in organizing their big day. “Having a professional who has an eye for design and can help take that stress away makes a huge difference,” she says.
