This Surprise Indianapolis Garden Engagement is Blooming with Joy: The Engagement of Patrick and Jared

Patrick met Jared when he was visiting Texas for a job interview. After Patrick accepted the position, the pair hit it off and became closer than ever before! Even though he knew Jared was planning to propose, Patrick planned his own way to surprise his love. “I had an art piece commissioned that would become the theme of our engagement and wedding theme; a Kansan Sunflower joining his Bluebonnet from Texas,” he says.

Patrick’s ring is full of sentimental value for the couple. He explains, “I am Ukrainian and in our heritage wheat is a symbol of prosperity. Jared used to be a flour miller, so I found a ring that had the symbol of wheat adorned in gold.”

Having loved ones around during their big day is a must for this couple, but when it comes down to the little details, Patrick is full of ideas! “I have dreamed and planned eight different weddings in four different cities which include Austin, San Antonio, Kansas, Dallas and Indianapolis,” he notes. We’re sure no matter where this pair ends up tying the knot, the day will be filled with love and lots of bright spring colors!
