When host and shoot designer, Dayna, dreamed up this style shoot, she wanted to combine two themes that were total opposites. "The vision for the shoot was what lies in contrast between old and new, shabby, run down and elegant, soft and flowy textures," Dayna explains. "I primarily wanted to bring awareness to small businesses owned by women by showcasing beautiful talents. In my heart I pictured the two worlds of old and new clashing and something left behind that still could be made beautiful." We think she pulled the shoot off perfectly!

Wanting to represent both feminine beauty and power, the team decided to utilize four brides for this shoot. Each of the dresses provides a different style of elegance to contrast the heavily industrial and run-down nature of the venue. We love that each dress is unique to show everyone's style is beautiful! Dayna raves, "All the dresses have clean lines that streamline the silhouettes with restrained detail. Impactful style with simplicity; Perfect for the minimalist bride." All the brides had their looks completed with classic updos and makeup that suits the style of their individual dress.

Despite the venue being a bit dirty since it wasn't a traditional wedding venue, it was the perfect place to host this style shoot! There are so many industrial touches in this venue. The team was specifically looking for a space that had a broken-down look, and we think they found the ideal building! From the scraps of plywood on the floor in some of the shots to the patchy plaster ceiling, this locale looks like it was abandoned and turned glam. With plenty of big windows to let in natural light and peachy drapes, the team was able to give the venue an airy and romantic feel!

This shoot was relatively minimalistic. The team relied on using some offbeat décor including a ladder, but what dominates this shoot are the florals and drapings! Making sure to include many different textures in their flowers, the team was able to make this shoot feel fuller in lieu of bigger décor items. Utilizing the 2024 Pantone Color of the Year, Peach Fuzz, in drapery, the team was able to inject some warmth and color into this industrial atmosphere. We love the way they partially covered the mirror with a drape, too, as if someone had left it behind. Despite the alternative assortment of décor items this team used, they were able to transform this little-used space into an elegant venue!

We are obsessed with the desserts from this style shoot! The bakery curated a breakable cake in the shape of a heart with a fondant banner that says, "Just Married". It's almost so cute that we don't want to break into it! The brides also got to enjoy white chocolate covered strawberries that were a huge hit. They were another great way to inject elegance into this shoot!
