When Rebecca “Becky” Laffin of Becky Lynn Photography had the opportunity to recreate a simple yet elegant wedding, she knew she had to make it special. The idea behind this shoot was to showcase what brides go through in every wedding, from first looks to cake cutting. We love this team hits all the highlights of a big day and turns them into an elegant style shoot!
Becky envisioned the dress in this shoot to scream “princess ballgown.” She also wanted the model’s makeup to reflect the pink tones of the color scheme. “I wanted a glam look since we were going little more simple on the dress,” she explains. The model’s romantic updo steals the show with some soft romantic curls!
The Lizton Lodge was the ideal venue for this team. One of the main draws was the difference in style in every room...and string lights are always a plus! Becky adds, “When I saw the string lights and all the open space underneath, I knew instantly that I wanted to use this space for the nighttime photos.”
The team used the 2020 Pantone Color of the Year, Classic Blue, in most of their color scheme. Becky paired it with pink, because pink is one of her favorite colors! We love how these colors flow throughout the shoot, from the pink bubbly champagne to the blue accents in the model’s bouquet!
This cake is golden--literally! Becky notes that the cake’s design is modern yet timeless, and we couldn’t agree more!
