RUNNING PARTNERS
BECOMING AN ITEM
When Brian Bouggy and Susan Hentschel met through a mutual friend while attending Purdue University, they didn’t think much of it. They remained acquaintances during school. It wasn’t until moving to Indianapolis after graduation, the two reunited and quickly became an item.
THE TIME & PLACE
Two years later, after running a 5K, Brian and Susan spent the afternoon relaxing, enjoying each other’s company. “Earlier that day Brian told me that he had planned getting together with some friends in downtown Indianapolis,” Susan says. “So, when the time came for us to head that way, we walked by a church that I had always loved.” Brian, who mentioned how beautiful the church was said, “...this would be a great place for a wedding.” Susan immediately responded, “Brian, we can’t book a wedding if we are not even engaged.” Little did she know, that’s exactly what he had in mind! Brian suggested the two take a look inside. “Brian then started talking about how much he loved me, and then proposed! It was perfect!” All planned ahead of time, Brian took his new fiance to meet all of their waiting friends and family to celebrate!
Exactly one year later, on May 21, Brian and Susan found themselves at the St. John Catholic Church again, this time for their wedding ceremony.
STUNNING ELEGANCE
With the help of their wedding planner, Darcie, and florist, Tiffany, both with Circle City Planners, along with everyone else involved, Susan and Brian’s love was enjoyed by all at their stunning, elegant wedding. Susan says, “I definitely couldn’t have done all this on my own. We had several amazing people who helped create our perfect day. I feel truly blessed.” Brian adds, “I loved every minute of it, I’m still talking to friends every day who call and ask about our special day.”
OPULENT STYLE
With a guest list of nearly 300 friends and family, the newlyweds celebrated in opulent style at their unforgettable reception at the Omni Severin Hotel in the heart of downtown Indianapolis. With high arched ceilings, a grand staircase and crystal chandeliers this historic location created the sophisticated mood Susan and Brian had hoped for. Adding to the natural beauty of the two story ballroom Susan and Brian tied the entire atmosphere together with subtle table linens and a combination of white, cream and light pink roses, hydrangeas, peonies and calla lilies as centerpieces.
