This Wintery Indianapolis E-Session is Full of Warm Joy and Laughter: The Engagement of Theresa and Joshua

A mutual friend set up Theresa and Joshua on a blind date, hoping they'd be a good match, and they ended up being perfect for each other! Initially, Joshua wanted to propose at Lume, but the art museum was too busy the day they went. Instead, Joshua took Theresa to a nice lunch and proposed by putting the ring on the table. 
 

Unlike most brides-to-be, Theresa was more interested in the band design than the gem that would be in her ring. "I was interested more in intricate band work than a diamond," Theresa explains. However, she did find something she loved! They stumbled upon salt-and-pepper diamonds when designing their rings and she fell in love with the character it brought into the ring without having the shine that she disliked in most diamonds. We love the unique look of her ring and how it blends so well with Joshua's!
 

When it came time for their engagement session, Theresa and Joshua stumbled upon their photographer Becky Lynn Photography in an unusual way and fell in love with her work. "We met Becky and her husband at a wedding venue. We fell in love with her style," Theresa shares. "She is as kind as she is talented." Once they had their photographer, they picked a few places they'd like to visit during their engagement session. The list included the bench they sat on during their first date, a local coffee shop, their favorite ice cream place and even Costco!
 

Just like their first date, Theresa and Joshua jumped into wedding planning blindly. Theresa admits, "We had no idea what we wanted. All we knew is that we wanted to have fun!" They have already had lots of fun with wedding planning thanks to the help of friends and family and the memories they've made. So far, they've learned from trial and error and have had a relatively stress free planning process.
