Wedding Planner
It is all in the details! Brides spend months (sometimes years) planning every detail of their perfect wedding day. The perfect dress...the perfect cake...the perfect party favor. They spend hours plotting and planning all the little details. Most brides want a wedding that is timeless and yet still reflects their personal style.
Use that same philosophy when developing your bridal style. Select a dress that is timeless and one that speaks to who you are. Every bride wants to stand out on her wedding day. Just make sure to add your personality into your look.
Here are a few tips for creating YOUR perfect bridal style.
1. BLING!
Just because it is your wedding day doesn't mean your jewelry has to be delicate. I just had a bride wear a statement necklace. It was a beautiful piece handed down from her grandmother. Not only did it shine, it was a piece of her family's history that will continue to be shared for generations to come.
2. THESE SHOES WERE MADE FOR WALKING?
The phrase ‘No pain, no gain’ DOES NOT apply to wedding day footwear. That being said, if you can get down the aisle plus an hour or two to eventually switch into some more comfortable lifestyle shoes, you are good to go. Shoes are a great way to introduce some fun into your look. Don't be afraid to introduce your wedding colors. I have had brides that have worn their wedding shoes long after the big day.
3. GAME FACE!
Ladies, I cannot say this enough. Look like yourself! If your everyday makeup style is soft and romantic, then by all means work with that. However, if your look is retro-glam, do a red lip. If you love to feature your eyes, go smokey. If you favorite place is the beach, become a bronze goddess. Find a great look that fits your personality, and then find a professional makeup artist, hairstylist or friend that can replicate the look.
4. NAILING YOUR LOOK!
Nail polish is a great way to add a touch of color. Gone are the days when light pink was the only option. I love a statement manicure/pedicure. Be sure to coordinate with your overall look, but have fun. Grey is great for a touch of rock and roll. Red is very old Hollywood. If you decide to go with a bold shade, it is always a good idea to purchase the color. It is nice to have in case you need a touch up. Another bonus is that every time you wear the color, you will be reminded of your beautiful bridal style!
5. STYLE FOR HIRE!
Stylists are not just for celebrities.
