What happens when a family from Fort Wayne, Indiana and a family from Italy conspire to plan a wedding at Marian Hills Farm? A perfectly whimsical and wonderful celebration between Denis and Natalie. Denis' family came across the seas to celebrate in Fort Wayne and you know what they say about Italian weddings! Natalie loves rainbow colors so she used that inspiration for the theme of the wedding creating many of her own personal touches throughout from the candy bar display to the table numbers to her wedding shoes. Denis even got in the spirit by surprising Natalie with crush velvet vintage rainbow suits for him and his groomsmen. In his vows, Denis told Natalie that he always wanted to be her favorite color.

the details

Natalie put her heart forth in all of the wedding details and the result was a true reflection of her personality and relationship with Denis. For the ceremony, Natalie had all of the chairs arranged in a circle to symbolize a wedding ring and a sense of unity.

According to Natalie, their reception at Marian Hills Farm was a collaborative effort between friends and family. Her mother made the jars for the wedding favors including flavors of blueberry, strawberry rhubarb, peach and carrot cake. Natalie collected the vintage plates that were used in the towering centerpieces, and she also collected an arsenal of white milk glass vases used throughout the decor. The candy buffet displayed these vases and also showcased Natalie's mom's heirloom glassware.

At Denis' request, all of the food from local restaurant 800 Degrees was made on site. Pizzas with Italian cured meat, pasta, salads, and cheese were a few menu items that showed up at dinner. Since Denis and Natalie love Bloody Mary's, a build-your-own Bloody Mary bar was incorporated. Also, in true Italian fashion, each table featured a bottle of red and white wine on it—all of the wine was shipped directly from Italy.

Natalie couldn't quite settle on one type of cake, so she decided to have one of each. And because she wanted the entertainment to appeal to each and every guest, she created an area just for kids complete with a balloon artist. For older guests, three different kinds of music were incorporated: a cellist and a guitarist played during cocktail hour, square dancing music right after dinner, and a DJ for the reception dance.
